Meet Ryan Cornell
I'm a CPA and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. I run a one-person practice from an office in Midland.
TODO: photographs. One of Ryan and one of the actual Midland office. No stock photography.
When you call, you get me. The return you sign was prepared by the person you talked to about it, and if something on it looks wrong to you, I’m the one who can explain why it’s there.
I work with individuals, families, and small businesses, and with estates, trusts, and nonprofit organizations. Meetings are in person at the Midland office or by video. Documents go through the client portal either way.
The credentials
CPA is the license for public accounting. It’s what lets me sign your return as a CPA and represent you before the IRS.
CISA stands for Certified Information Systems Auditor. It’s an audit credential for information systems and internal controls, not a tax one.
TODO: biography from Ryan. Only his name, credentials, office location, and that he practices alone are confirmed. Nothing else may be invented. Ask him for:
- Years in practice, and what he did before
- Education
- How the CISA shows up in his work
- One or two things about him outside accounting
- Whether he’s accepting new clients
- NC license number and issuing board, if he wants them published
Start with a phone call
Tell me what needs to be filed and I'll tell you what to gather. Meetings are in person at the Midland office or by video.
