Small business CPA serving Harrisburg, NC
I prepare business tax returns for small business owners in Harrisburg, Midland, and Mint Hill. The work doesn't stop when the return is filed. You can call during the year when a decision is going to affect your taxes.
During the year
Most of what ends up on a business return was decided months earlier. Buying equipment, hiring someone, taking money out of the business, changing how you pay yourself: each of those shows up on the return. Call before you make the decision and I can tell you how it will look when it does. That’s usually where there’s room to be more tax-efficient.
S corporation returns
An S corporation files Form 1120-S and issues a Schedule K-1 to each shareholder. The income then shows up on the owners’ personal returns. When I prepare both, the K-1 and the 1040 come from the same person and match.
TODO: confirm scope with Ryan. His service description doesn’t mention quarterly estimated tax payments, payroll filings, choosing an entity type, or responding to IRS notices. Add whichever of those he handles. None are claimed on the site until he confirms.
